Bio

Kim Ford is a TEDx speaker, adjunct professor at Morehouse College, and media professional who has spent over a decade in entertainment journalism, content creation, and strategic communications—creating culturally relevant content across media. At Morehouse, she teaches Movies, Music, and Celebrity Journalism—a course in the Journalism Department founded by filmmaker Spike Lee—that explores the intersection of pop culture, media, and social justice.

Kim began her media career in 2007 with the launch of her digital platform, JubileeMag, where she interviewed some of the industry’s most influential voices, including Tyler Perry, Oprah Winfrey, Kevin Hart, Michael B. Jordan, and more. Her media outlet has covered events like She has appeared on CNN/Headline News as an entertainment contributor, sharing her take on what’s relevant in film, television, and celebrity culture. She was also a freelance writer for The Hollywood Reporter.

She’s been a regular on the nationally syndicated Willie Moore Jr. Show (Radio One), offering insight on red carpet events and life strategies, and appeared on Lifetime’s The Rap Game as a talent critic at the invitation of music mogul Jermaine Dupri.

In 2018, Kim became the host and executive producer of her own celebrity talk show, In The Spotlight With Kim Ford, which reached over 2 million households in Atlanta. A year later, she was inducted into the African American Film Critics Association (AAFCA), further cementing her voice in film and cultural commentary.

But Kim’s mission goes beyond entertainment. Her true passion lies in helping women navigate life’s setbacks and embrace reinvention. Her TEDx talk, It’s Never Too Late, inspired the release of her book, It’s Never Too Late: The Ultimate Guide to Make an Epic Comeback After a Setback, along with a companion mini course—all designed to help women in their 30s, 40s, and 50s make bold life pivots. Through storytelling, speaking, and digital platforms, she creates content that empowers, educates, and inspires.

In 2020, Kim transitioned from JubileeMag to building her personal brand at iamKimFord.com, where she covers entertainment, lifestyle, and personal growth. As a mother of two young adults—a daughter and a son—she understands the unique journey of balancing purpose, parenting, and entrepreneurship.

Kim is a proud HBCU graduate of Grambling State University and an active member of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated.

She is also a member of the National Association of Black Journalists (NABJ) and the African American Film Critics Association (AAFCA).
